Had a torreno in today to do.
stripped out the clocks to find the eeprom was a 93c6 !!!!
seems they couldnt fit 93c66 on one line !
so connected up to do mileage and dashfixer was showing incorrect miles.
now in my game its the best thing to do if u dont get the correct reading when u are changing a mileage. the correct thing being STOP
so i decided to take the eeprom off the board and do it manually.
this i altered manually and reprogrammed the chip. and soldered it back into the clocks and plugged back into the car for testing to my surprise it had jumped up 400k miles lol
so i decided to clip the eeprom and go with the dashfixer again as i had a 100% working dump from the dashfixer first read and of course reading the chip off the board.
again the dashfixer gave me a different but wrong reading
so it must be reading the milage locations as this time it was different due to my manual edit before hand.
so i went ahead with the change regardless only to find when i put it back in the car it worked 100% lol
